Leavenworth Spring Bird Fest

“The Leavenworth area features spectacular habitats ranging from snow-capped mountains to sunny ponderosa pine forests, to lush riparian zones, to shrub-steppe. All our field trips are led by experts and professionals in their field. Learn about the wide variety of migratory birds that come here for a brief, but important part of their year: the breeding season. Hear the songs sung only during the breeding season while you stroll, bike, boat, or van during the height of wildflower season. While birding is the heart of the weekend, activities also include wildflower walks, arts events, and family activities to ensure fun and learning for everyone, and for birders of all skill levels, with enough built-in “down time” to explore the friendly Bavarian village that we call home.” -Leavenworth Bird Fest

Oktoberfest is nearing!

The last couple mornings I have caught myself looking out the window hoping for one more day of summer sun and I am not sure I am going to get it. I think it is time that I accept that fall is pretty much here, although our weather is much nicer than our Seattle counterparts still! (Quick, sneak a vacation in while there is still time!)

The fall mornings have signaled towards the end of the summer wedding season (just a few more summer weddings left) and the beginning of the next great adventure: Oktoberfest!

Oktoberfest is a great time of the year where people from all over join us as the town of Leavenworth celebrates its German heritage and transforms into a complete Bavarian village with live music, dancing, German food and drinks, and entertainment for the whole family!

We currently book months ahead of time for special events in Leavenworth and are all booked up for Oktoberfest. Last year, we had a couple last minute cancellations so keep checking the home page at Pine River Ranch for up to date cancellations. And start thinking now about booking a suite for the Leavenworth Christmas Lighting Festival! Rooms are already going fast!
