Real Leavenworth Weddings | Ashley and Hannes | Dusty Rose Summer Wedding

Ok, I have a confession to make...I got the wonderful photos from Kim Hayes early in the summer, and she was immediately the featured photographer on the Pine River Ranch Wedding Website because I loved her photos, but I never made a blog post for her! Sorry Kim and sorry bloggers, I have been holding back on you hiding the beautiful dusty rose and music filled wedding!

Instead of starting with the getting ready shots like I traditionally do, I started with my favorite shot first :) I love the glow of the sun sneaking in through the trees.
....
Ok, now for the getting ready shot!

Kim Hayes recapped Ashley and Hannes Leavenworth wedding saying it was the first nice day of the year when Ashley and Hannes got hitched at a charming country location just outside Leavenworth. The sweet sounds of the Dusty 45’s filled the air as family and friends celebrated. It was a super awesome and amazingly beautiful day! Congratulations you guys! And a thank you to her 2nd shooter extraordinaire, Keri Pinzon, for providing her with constant support, friendship, and awesome images!!

Is this not one of the coolest shoe shots you've seen? Sums up a Leavenworth Wedding at Pine River Ranch pretty well I'd say! I loved it! (And the beautiful cake is by Busy Bea's Bakery, a Pine River Ranch favorite vendor who does tons of cakes here. Remember the fabulous vintage suitcase cake by Bea in the Penner-Jones Wedding)
I love Ashley's Alvina Valenta dress!

The guest swayed along to The Dusty 45's during the ceremony
For the Grand Exit...What do you guys say, think Ashley and Hannes are avid skiiers?

The dusty rose and pink decor lit up the restored 1944 dairy barn for the reception
The Reception

Hope you enjoyed sharing Ashley and Hannes wedding day as much as we did at Pine River Ranch.

"Real Weddings" Molly and Josh

Friday night Josh and Molly had a great rehearsal followed by an evening dinner outside on our wedding lawn in the cool shade of the large ponderosa pine trees on the West side of the barn. The shade, and the light breeze was just enough so the 90 degree weather was very comfortable. A large part of the wedding party and families finished out the evening enjoying 'evening' beverages on the front porch of the Ranch House, till the dark hours of night rolled in.

Saturday was the perfect day for their wedding, the cloudy morning lifted into a sunny afternoon and the weather was perfect, the lawns are beautiful, and the flowers are exploding with color.

The guest recieved a great suprise when Molly made her grand entrance, she was delivered Bareback by Vivy the horse, directly to the ceremony.
Although I do love horses here at the Ranch and think Vivy is quite beautiful, Molly did outshine her in her stunning dress!
(I don't have a photographer to thank for these shots because I quickly snapped them myself, so Molly and Josh, when you get your photos back I would love some images by the professionals to feature!)

The perfect evening continued after the ceremony as we all had hordouvres, and refreshments on the lawns around the barn. As the evening progressed we all moved up into the barn for the dinner supplied by a favorite local catering company Ravenous Catering. From that point on it was toasts, celebrations, music, dancing, cake, and throwing of a few items to awaiting single persons.

Now a quiet week to recover and a few more projects to finish up here at Pine River Ranch. We are building privacy screens and deck awnings on the private porches of Nason, Natapoc, Lodgepole and Ponderosa suites. I almost forgot to mention that the lawns around the Waterfall and pond have come up and we shall have more mowable lawns in the near future!

"Real Weddings" Katie and Dereck

I was lucky to get in touch with fabulous photographer Maija Karin and get some great photos from a wedding she shot last year at Pine River Ranch. Congrats to Katie and Dereck who are almost to their 1 year anniversary, it's kinda fun to look back!
I love this shot! For those of you that don't know how hard it is to get into a wedding dress and veil, it is! I think this captures being stuck in a big pile of lace and tulle perfectly! Pine River Ranch has 2 separate bride and groom suites for you and your party to get ready in so you don't accidentally see each other ahead of time on your big day! It is equipped with an "escape route" pictured below, just in case you change your mind :) So far, we have only used it to get great pictures like this on!
Its all about the shoes!

Kyah (Dereck's daughter...and now Katie's daughter as well ) snuck right in between Katie and Dereck for their first reveal shot and stuck to them the whole time.

Equally as precious!

A beautiful sneak shot of Kyah at the ceremony at Pine River Ranch
The indoor barn at Pine River Ranch is great for the reception site or for an indoor winter ceremony. The twinkle lights hung over the rafters of the cathedral ceiling in the barn make for a beautiful first dance shot every time! I love the way Katie's dress is flowing in this picture.
